Interested in purchasing a quarter of a bison for our 2026 harvest? Regeneratively grazed with a rotational grazing system unique to our area, these bison live and thrive on our grasses. A deposit of $100 reserves a spot in our 2026 harvest for you. Deposit total will be taken off final meat cost paid to Sleepy Bison Acres. Bison are currently being harvested year round.
Average hanging weight is 150 pounds. Rate is $6.50/ pound hanging weight.
Harvest date dependent on harvest availability after deposit received. Quarters are “mixed,” front half and back half.
After harvest date is agreed upon with yourself and the farm, that spot is yours. Expect a reminder message a few days to a week before harvest.
Odenthal Meats, near Heidelberg/ New Prague, will contact you directly to determine your preferences for cut instructions after the harvest appointment. Harvest cost will vary by cut instructions and animal weight. As a general estimate, a quarter bison is currently around the $200 range. Odenthals will be paid separately from the farm.
